Project objective

The main aim of the project is to develop, test and implement a comprehensive support model for highly sensitive children at preschool and early‑school age.

This is the first project in Poland developed by researchers and practitioners specifically focused on supporting highly sensitive children. Special attention is paid to the key role of the closest environment (for example parents and teachers) in creating conditions for the proper development of highly sensitive children.

Planned activities

  1. Development of a comprehensive support model for highly sensitive children at preschool and early‑school age.
  2. Development of a web platform containing sets of questionnaires/scales for assessment and educational as well as support materials for teaching staff and parents.
  3. Organisation of workshops for teaching staff at international level and at national level by each partner institution.
  4. Development of a psychometric manual for the diagnostic tool.
  5. Development of a compendium of knowledge (with a guide) on high sensitivity for teaching staff and parents.

  • Children at preschool and early‑school age.
  • Parents of preschool and early‑school‑age children.
  • School teaching staff: teachers, pedagogues and psychologists.

Project results

  • A support model for highly sensitive children at preschool and early‑school age, available in six languages
  • A modern platform including a diagnostic tool for identifying highly sensitive pupils and educational and support materials (podcasts, videos, biographical‑method based materials) for work with the child.
  • A training programme for teaching staff, available in six languages.
  • A psychometric manual for the diagnostic tool, available in six languages.
  • A compendium of knowledge on high sensitivity for teaching staff and parents, available in six languages.
