Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) offer a unique opportunity for students and academic staff at WSEI University to gain international experience in an innovative and flexible format. These programmes are particularly suitable for individuals combining education with work or family responsibilities. BIP combine a short-term international mobility with active online components, allowing participants to develop professional, language, and intercultural skills in a relatively short time while collaborating with students and lecturers from across Europe.

What are Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)?

BIP are intensive, international courses conducted in cooperation with at least three universities from different countries. Each programme consists of two complementary parts:

  • Physical mobility – a 5–30 day visit to the hosting institution, including workshops, training sessions, lectures, conferences, and collaborative project work.
  • Virtual mobility – an online component enabling project preparation, group work, and exchange of experiences with participants from other countries.

Students participating in BIP receive at least 3 ECTS credits, confirmed by a certificate issued by the hosting institution and recognized within their study programme. Academic staff receive a certificate describing the BIP programme, similar to documentation used for teaching or training mobilities.

Funding

Participation in Blended Intensive Programmes is funded by the Erasmus+ programme in the form of a grant. The amount of funding depends on the destination country, travel distance, and the method of travel. The grant is calculated according to the standard rates applied in other types of mobility, in line with the current academic year’s regulations for “Student Funding Rules” and “Staff Funding Rules.”

Why participate?

Participating in BIP is an excellent opportunity to:

  • gain international experience in a short period,
  • develop language, social, and intercultural competencies,
  • establish contacts with partner universities and international teams,
  • earn ECTS credits recognized by partner institutions,
  • participate in innovative learning and online collaboration.

By combining virtual and physical mobility, BIP are more accessible, flexible, and tailored to the needs of participants.

Participation Rules

To apply for a BIP programme, candidates must submit the application form according to the recruitment deadlines for the given academic year:
