A delegation from WSEI University took part in the first project meeting of 3DP STeF, held in Chania, Greece. This innovative project is funded by the European Commission under the Digital Europe Programme.
3DP STeF project aims to promote sustainable innovation in the textile and manufacturing sectors by upskilling and reskilling students from vocational education and training (VET) institutions and higher education universities. Its implementation is based on the introduction of modern Additive Manufacturing (AM) tools, such as 3D printing (3DP).
The initiative also focuses on integrating advanced digital competencies, including 3D printing, artificial intelligence (AI), data analysis, augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), and machine learning. The goal of these activities is to create educational pathways in green digital skills, preparing a new generation of specialists to actively participate in the green and digital transformation of the economy.
The project is led by the Technical University of Crete (TUC) in Chania, Greece. The international consortium includes 14 partners from across Europe, such as universities, training institutions, non-governmental organisations, chambers of commerce, and science and technology parks from countries including Greece, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Ireland, and Ukraine.
