WSEI University – Organizer of the Conference “Entrepreneurship, New Technologies, Innovation, Security, Industry 4.0”

Security, new solutions, and best practices in companies, as well as modern approaches for science and business, were the key topics discussed during the 16th International Scientific Conference Entrepreneurship, New Technologies, Innovation, Security, Industry 4.0,” organized by WSEI University.

The conference took place on April 2-4 in Janów Lubelski. The event aimed to facilitate the exchange of experience and knowledge about modern solutions in the areas of entrepreneurship, digital transformation, security, and the implementation of innovations in companies and public institutions.

The conference brought together both academic lecturers and business practitioners. Students and PhD candidates were also included among the participants.

- This event is international in character - we are joined not only by participants from Europe, but also from Asia and Africa. A tangible outcome of the conference will be a scientific monograph, which will be published in English later this year - said PhD. Sylwia Skrzypek-Ahmed, Professor at WSEI University and Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences.

The conference offered an excellent opportunity to establish international contacts and strengthen cooperation between the academic world and economic practice.

- This conference is cyclical - it was originally initiated by Professors Marian Stefański and  Michał Jarmuł. I’m very glad that the current leadership of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences, with PhD Sylwia Skrzypek-Ahmed at the helm, has continued to explore these topics. In our Univeristy, we value institutional continuity, which is why I’m pleased to see this event become a permanent fixture in our calendar. It's wonderful that we can meet at around the same time each year to discuss the challenges of entrepreneurship- noted PhD Mariusz Paździor, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education.

Ewa Dumkiewicz-Sprawka, Director of the Department of Education and Upbringing of the Lublin City Office, emphasized the relevance of the conference’s themes: - Each of the concepts in the title - entrepreneurship, new technologies, innovation, security, Industry 4.0 - represents a critical area in today's world. Events like this are extremely valuable, not only because they allow us to learn about the latest research findings or current developments. More importantly, they offer the chance for direct exchanges of experience and perspectives between practitioners and researchers - and that is priceless. These conversations and meetings are often the most valuable outcome of the entire event - she underlined.

The conference was held under the honorary patronage of, among others, the Municipality of Janów Lubelski. Magdalena Kolasa, Secretary of the Municipality and graduate of WSEI University, shared her personal connection to the event: - This gathering has a special meaning for me. The topics addressed during the conference are incredibly important and timely. I congratulate the organizers on this event and wish it continued growth and success - she said.

Dr hab. Tomasz Wołowiec, Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, concluded the event by thanking all participants: - I extend special thanks to Professor Oleh Liashuk, Vice-Rector of the Ternopil Technical University, and to representatives of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University in Lutsk. We also deeply appreciate the participation of our friends from the University of Nigeria, who joined us as part of the Erasmus+ programme. Our cooperation with you is of great importance and value to us. We hope it will continue to thrive not only in the field of scientific research and international projects, but also in student exchange and the implementation of joint initiatives - summarized the Vice-Rector.
