Visit of a Delegation from Botswana to WSEI University

Participants of the international UPSCALE project, implemented under the Erasmus+ CBHE programme, met at WSEI University in Lublin to discuss cooperation, exchange of experiences, and best practices in educating young people.

UPSCALE – Upscaling Graduates’ Employability Tracking through the Implementation of Special Dual Career Paths in Botswana and Eswatini – is an international initiative aimed at increasing graduates’ employability by introducing special dual career paths in Botswana and Eswatini, as well as strengthening collaboration between universities, the labour market, and public institutions.

On Friday, 10 October, representatives of the project from Botswana met with staff members of WSEI University.

Our University was represented by: PhD Sylwia Skrzypek-Ahmed, Professor at WSEI University and Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences, PhD Marcin Marczuk, Programme Coordinator for Finance and Accounting, Alicja Ciorgoń, Director of the Career and Student Affairs Office.

- The participants emphasised that they were highly impressed by the effectiveness and the high quality of WSEI University’s activities as a non-public higher education institution, as well as by the equipment of the teaching rooms and laboratories - said PhD Marcin Marczuk - They also expressed great interest in the system of graduate career tracking and the practical approach the University takes in this area.

The detailed procedure adopted at WSEI University was presented to them by Alicja Ciorgoń.

- The meeting evolved into a lively and inspiring discussion. The guests showed great interest in organising joint scientific conferences in the field of entrepreneurship, in research cooperation and knowledge exchange, as well as in participation in the Erasmus+ programme with non-EU countries, under which WSEI University welcomes students from Africa and other regions of the world every year - emphasised PhD Sylwia Skrzypek-Ahmed, Professor at WSEI University.

It was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, present good practices, and strengthen WSEI University’s role as an active partner in international educational initiatives and in activities supporting graduate employability.
