WSEI University has once again confirmed its strong position within the Polish higher education landscape. In the latest edition of the Perspektywy 2026 University Rankings, it was ranked 14th amongst private academic institutions, thereby consolidating its position amongst the country’s most highly regarded academic centres.
Seven criteria were taken into account when assessing higher education institutions in the Perspektywy ranking:
1) research effectiveness
In this key area, the analysis covers, amongst other things, success in securing funding from EU programmes, research funding, the development of the institution’s own academic staff, and the quality and international reach of academic publications.
2) internationalisation
This involves an analysis of the proportion of international students and lecturers within the total number of students and lecturers at a given university, programmes taught in foreign languages, academic mobility, and participation in European university networks.
3) research potential
This takes into account the results of evaluations of individual disciplines, the proportion of staff holding the titles of professor or habilitated doctor, the university’s doctoral and habilitation accreditation, as well as the number of doctoral students enrolled in doctoral programmes.
4) prestige
Prestige measures the university’s position in global rankings and its reputation within the academic community.
5) graduates in the labour market
The labour market criterion assesses the level of salaries and the stability of employment among those leaving the university.
6) educational conditions
This criterion takes into account the availability of highly qualified staff, as well as accreditations and quality certificates held.
7) Innovation
This measures the number of domestic and international patents obtained, as well as the university’s contribution to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
All these criteria have placed the WSEI University in a high 14th place amongst the best private universities in the whole country.
- We are proud that the day-to-day work of our academic community, the commitment of our students and the continuous development of our educational programmes have resulted in WSEI Lublin being ranked so highly in such an important educational ranking in Poland - concludes the President of WSEI University, Teresa Bogacka, Dr h.c.
