Jubilee Picnic of WSEI University with Record Attendance. Thank You for Celebrating with Us!

Even before the official start at 2:30 p.m., queues began to form in front of the entrance gate around 2:00 p.m., as people eagerly waited to enter the fenced event area near Lublin Castle.

- I liked the games in the karate tent the most; I think I’ll sign up for classes - said Zosia. Her sister was more interested in the inflatables and face painting.

There were plenty of attractions for both children and adults - competitions and games with prizes, artistic performances, painting, face painting, soap bubbles, balloon animals, a large inflatable zone, and a food court with delicious meals and snacks. All of this was available for the visitors of our Picnic.

Karate demonstrations were given by martial artists from the Chidori Traditional Karate Club and Daniel Iwanek Karate Academy.

Additionally, student scientific clubs from our University - Progressus, Loco-Motiv, Logi-Start, Fizjoactiv, and the student club at the Monoprofile Center for Medical Simulation -prepared numerous activities and demonstrations, not only for children. Visitors had the chance to try steering various vehicles and also take advantage of physiotherapy treatments and free preventive health screenings.

- During the event, we carried out vital signs measurements - including ECGs, body mass and composition analysis, uric acid and cholesterol levels, and spirometry. In total, we examined 64 people, which shows the high level of interest in health prevention - said Mariusz Sutryk, MSc, supervisor of the Student Scientific Club at the Monoprofile Center for Medical Simulation at WSEI University.

During the Picnic, we also announced the winners of the "Uncovering the Stars of WSEI University" contest, which recognized exceptionally talented students from our University.

The prizes were sponsored by W. Śliwiński, who donated four vouchers worth PLN 1,000 each.

We were treated to musical performances by our student Aman Raj, high school student Jakub Wroński “Cola”, who performed a song written especially for WSEI University's 25th anniversary, and the Folk Dance Ensemble “Tańcuj okręcaj.” The headlining act of the evening was Łukasz Jemioła with his band.

- The event was fantastic! Two scientific clubs from the Faculty of Transport and IT participated. I was very impressed by the engagement and professionalism of the Logi-Start club’s forklift model demonstrations. These shows attracted a lot of attention from Picnic participants. Equally important was the contribution of the Loco-Motiv club students - dressed in their official railway dispatcher uniforms, they captivated the audience and educated them about railway safety in an interesting way - said Dariusz Kasperek, MSc Eng., club supervisor.

Kamila Lewicka from WSEI University’s Fizjoactiv Club added:
- The organization of the event was excellent, and the attractions for children were very well thought-out. We set up a massage station, which proved to be incredibly popular.

- Thank you all for joining us with your families to celebrate the 25th anniversary of WSEI University - emphasized Teresa Bogacka, President of WSEI University - It was a celebration filled with joy, fun, and laughter - a true festival for our staff, students, alumni, friends, and everyone who wanted to join the fun.
