Easter gathering of Students and Authorities of WSEI University

Easter gathering of Students and Authorities of WSEI University

Warmth, smiles and positive energy characterised Thursday’s Easter gathering, attended by students and the Authorities of our University. It was an opportunity for conversation and socialising in a friendly, festive atmosphere.

At the start of the meeting, the Rector of the WSEI University, PhD Mariusz Paździor, a professor at WSEI University, asked those present to observe a minute’s silence in memory of the late Professor Marek Opielak, former Rector of our University.

- We are gathering to exchange greetings, but also to emphasise our sense of community, for we are an academic community  - said Rector Mariusz Paździor - Let us immerse ourselves in the values embodied by Easter and the Resurrection of the Lord – holidays which, for Christians, are the focal point of both faith and identity. In a situation where we are surrounded by conflicts and wars, and feel their effects keenly, we feel anxiety. All the more so, this time to pause, be together and calm our emotions is something we all need very much.

The festive gathering was also attended by Vice-Rectors, Deans and staff of WSEI University.

Rev. Dr Jacek Łukasiewicz, Professor at WSEI University, blessed the prepared Easter food, reminding us that a meal is always associated with community.

Thursday’s gathering provided an opportunity for our academic community to exchange greetings and celebrate the upcoming Easter holidays together.

We would like to thank everyone for attending and for helping to build our academic community.
