Project objective

Teachers HAVEN Academy is an international partnership project whose main aim is to support teachers in developing psychosocial competences, building resilience and professional wellbeing, and improving the quality of education through innovative training programmes and the exchange of best practices.

Target groups

  • Teachers in training (novice teachers, students of teacher education): People preparing for the teaching profession who need support in the area of ​​psychosocial competences, mental resilience and professional skills.
  • Teachers in active employment (primary and secondary schools, regardless of seniority): Teachers of all specialties and educational levels, looking for tools to cope with stress, burnout and wanting to develop their teaching and psychosocial skills.
  • Teacher training institutions: Universities (pedagogical faculties), research institutes, organizations conducting training and teacher training institutions that implement innovative professional development programs.
  • Schools and educational institutions: Units implementing pilot development programs, participating in testing tools and materials developed in the project
  • Training centers and teacher education centers: Institutions that can use the developed materials, scenarios and tools as part of their own development activities.
  • Teachers’ unions and industry associations: Organisations representing the interests of teachers, supporting their development and well-being.
  • Mentors, coaches, well-being experts: Individuals involved in mentoring, consulting and support for active teachers.
  • Education management bodies (education boards, school councils, ministries of education): Institutions responsible for educational policy, implementation of standards and recommendations concerning teachers’ well-being.
  • Decision-makers, think-tanks, non-governmental organisations operating in the field of education: Entities that can use research results and project recommendations to shape public policies and implement innovations in the education system
  • Parents, students, local communities: Groups that indirectly benefit from improved quality of teachers’ work and their well-being, which translates into better educational outcomes and school climate.

Project results

  • Teachers HAVEN e-learning platform
    A modern, multilingual educational platform available online, featuring training materials, an event calendar, course and event registration, a FAQ section, and a space for sharing experiences and building a teachers’ community.
  • Comprehensive training programme (blended learning)
    A modular programme for the development of psychosocial competences, professional resilience, and versatility of teachers, available as online courses, webinars, on-site workshops, and self-study materials.
  • Set of educational materials and tools
    A package of practical materials (lesson plans, exercises, self-assessment tools, guides) supporting the development of wellbeing, psychological resilience, and professional skills of teachers.
  • International bootcamps for teachers
    Intensive, five-day on-site training sessions (held in different partner countries), enabling experience exchange, competence development, and the building of support networks.
  • Teachers HAVEN dissemination events
    Three international dissemination events (each in a different partner country), presenting project results, best practices, and the latest solutions in teacher wellbeing and professional development.
  • Support and mentoring network
    A network of experts, teachers, and project alumni offering support, consultations, and mentoring for programme participants.
  • Research reports and needs analyses
    Publications summarising research results, analysis of teachers’ needs, and mapping of good practices in the field of wellbeing and professional development in education.
  • Promotional and informational materials
    Project website, social media profiles, newsletters, brochures, promotional videos, as well as scientific and popular science publications.
  • Implementation guide and recommendations
    Documentation and guidelines for implementing the developed solutions in educational institutions, together with recommendations for decision-makers and practitioners.
