SESHOME

Project objective

  • Educational support for children with disabilities through the development of innovative modules and using modern information and communication technologies.
  • Development of teachers’ competences through workshops and trainings
  • Transfer of education from the educational institution to the home, with the help of the family.
  • Raising awareness among children with disabilities and organising trainings for them.
  • Creation of a modern digital online tool serving as a means of learning and support for children, teachers and family members.

Planned activities

Preparation of training modules by experts with experience in special education.

  • Creation of an e‑learning platform and making it available to children with disabilities and their families, as well as to teachers.
  • Preparation of trainings for teachers implementing the module and for local authorities of educational institutions.
  • Organisation of workshops aimed at raising awareness of people about the problems of children with disabilities and their families, as well as at promoting the project, including placing information in local and national media.
  • Seminars organised for parents, teaching staff and pupils of schools where children with disabilities are studying, in order to promote integration in everyday life.

Target groups

  • The first target group in the project consists of pupils of schools aged 6–10 years with disabilities, who cannot attend school due to chronic diseases (brittle bones, muscle diseases, leukaemia, etc.) or short‑term acute health conditions (broken bone, neck injury after road traffic accidents, etc.), as well as their parents.
  • The second target group consists of teachers who will participate in workshops and trainings and who will provide educational support for children with disabilities together with the parents of these children.
  • The third target group consists of academic staff, experts, researchers and other employees dealing with social education.

Project results

  • The main expected result will be the fulfilment of all project objectives and the satisfaction of the needs of the target groups.
  • The first result will be a prepared Needs Analysis Report, which will be published in scientific journals and in the form of an e‑
  • The second result will be a developed training module designed for children with disabilities, their parents and teachers.
  • The third result produced within the project will be an e‑learning platform on which information and training modules for children with disabilities, their parents and teachers will be placed, enabling learning and receiving support in a convenient form via the Internet.
  • Another result will be the developed ICT materials – in the form of audio and video – which will be made available on the e‑learning platform.

Scientific research carried out within the project, regarding the problems of children learning at home and ways of solving them, will be published in the form of a textbook.
