It was a historic moment for our University. On 5 September, Warsaw Branch of WSEI University a graduation ceremony.
The event brought together our nursing graduates, their loved ones, lecturers and representatives of various institutions. It was a time full of emotions, congratulations and reflection on the journey each of our students had taken to reach this important moment.
- Today's graduation ceremony, which is a measure of success, would not have been possible without the support and assistance of the organisations and institutions whose representatives honoured us with their presence. I would like to express my gratitude first and foremost to the representatives of the Warsaw Regional Chamber of Nurses and Midwives, as well as the directors and head nurses of hospitals and all other medical and care institutions in Warsaw and its surroundings, thanks to whom the practical training programme could be implemented. I would also like to thank the academic teachers and other people involved in the implementation of the education process and the organisation of studies. Today's ceremony is our common celebration - said Dr hab. Mirosław Jarosz, professor at WSEI University, who represented the Rector of our University, Prof. Marek Opielak.
He also addressed the graduates: - I congratulate you and wish you that your diplomas will be the key to your future personal and professional success - added Prof. Jarosz.
Marta Trząsalska, representing the graduates, also addressed those present at the ceremony: - We would like to express our gratitude to the University Authorities, the Director, the Dean and our Supervisor for their guidance, support and for teaching us to view the nursing profession with the respect it deserves. We would also like to thank the staff of the Dean's Office for their patience, warmth and kind assistance, which so often helped us in our daily duties. Our time at University was more than just acquiring knowledge. We accompanied patients in difficult moments - in pain, illness and helplessness. We experienced suffering and tears, but we also experienced joy – we witnessed births, first breaths and recoveries. These experiences taught us that the nursing profession is an encounter with the entire spectrum of human life. The profession we have chosen is not just a job – it is a mission, a responsibility and a calling. We believe that we will fulfil this role with dignity, bringing professionalism, empathy and hope to our patients - she said.
Another graduate, James Vukomba, added: - I really enjoyed studying at WSEI University Warsaw in Branch, especially the fact that University places great emphasis on practical nursing skills. We completed thousands of hours of practical training in various hospitals and wards, thanks to which we can now apply the knowledge we have gained in our work at the hospital.
We congratulate our graduates and wish them every success in their professional careers and satisfaction in helping others.
