WSEI University Participates in Key European Events to Advance Higher Apprenticeships and Innovation in Vocational Education

A week ago WSEI University proudly participated in two major events organized under the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA), underscoring its commitment to advancing vocational education and fostering innovation in higher apprenticeships across Europe.

The first event, the EAfA High-Level Event, took place from June 30th to July 1st. Hosted by the European Commission, this gathering brought together key stakeholders in vocational education and training (VET) to discuss the future of skills development, the integration of clean technologies, and the promotion of green skills for learners of all ages. The event featured high-profile panel discussions, networking opportunities, and presentations from leaders in education, industry, and policy. It served as a platform for sharing best practices and forging new partnerships aimed at supporting the Union of Skills and the Clean Industrial Deal.

On July 1st, 2025, WSEI University played an important role in the EAfA Get Together Event, which focused on inclusion, innovation, and the strengthening of apprenticeship communities. During this event, Magda Janiak from WSEI University represented the “Higher Apprenticeships” community in a dedicated session highlighting the five EAfA Communities. Later, WSEI’s leadership was further demonstrated when Magda Janiak moderated the session “Higher apprenticeships in action: Innovation through partnerships,” with Immacolata Petio as the featured presenter. These contributions showcased WSEI University’s active engagement in shaping the dialogue around higher apprenticeships, innovation, and inclusive practices within the European context.

WSEI University’s co-leadership in the Community on Higher Apprenticeships, together with EURES Puglia, Labour and Training Policies Department, Apulia region marks a significant step forward in shaping the European landscape of vocational education. As the lead institution of this EAfA working group, WSEI University – together with its partners – has created a dynamic platform where labor market actors and educational institutions collaborate to address the evolving needs of higher vocational training. The Community serves as a hub for sharing innovative approaches, exchanging best practices, and launching joint initiatives that respond to the challenges of digitization, inclusion, and mobility in apprenticeships.
