WSEI University has taken 2nd place in the ranking of non-public universities most frequently chosen by university applicants in Poland. These are official figures from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has published its annual report on university admissions. It includes institutions supervised by the Minister of Science.
This year’s ranking of admissions results for the 2025/2026 academic year is a reason for pride: according to the total number of applications for first-cycle and long-cycle master’s studies, WSEI University is the 2nd most frequently chosen non-public university for part-time studies in all of Poland. Only WSB Merito University in Poznań ranked higher.
Among non-public universities most frequently chosen for full-time studies, our University also achieved a high position - 8th place nationwide.
The Ministry’s report also presents the study programmes that attracted the greatest interest. Out of the 10 most frequently chosen fields of study, as many as 7 are offered by WSEI University, and 2 by its Warsaw Branch. These include:
According to the report of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, a total of 450,715 people were admitted to the first year of studies in the 2025/2026 academic year across the country. This includes over 335,000 students admitted to first-cycle and long-cycle master’s programmes, and over 115,000 admitted to second-cycle studies.
Public universities admitted 309,927 candidates, while non-public universities admitted 140,788.
In the previous academic year, universities admitted a total of 462,363 students. A decrease in admissions compared to the previous year can therefore be observed.
- Despite the overall decline in student numbers, interest in studying at our University continues to grow - emphasizes Teresa Bogacka, dr h.c., President of WSEI University. She adds: - This year’s admissions report for 2025/2026 not only shows WSEI University’s very high position compared to other Polish universities, but also highlights how well our educational offer matches the needs of the labour market. And that is exactly what applicants take into consideration when choosing a university.
As President Teresa Bogacka points out, WSEI University has never offered random or accidental study programmes: - We were the first in Lublin to introduce such fields as transport, logistics, and internal security. We have excellently equipped laboratories, and many of our lecturers are active professionals and business managers. The practical knowledge they pass on to young people is difficult to find in textbooks - this is why our graduates are prepared to enter the job market almost immediately after completing their studies.
