WSEI University is developing cooperation with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University

Student exchanges under the Erasmus+ programme and the development of research cooperation in international projects were the main areas of cooperation discussed during the visit of representatives of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) to WSEI University.

 

On 14-16 January, our University hosted four representatives of the Faculty of Transport at VILNIUS TECH. The Lithuanian delegation was led by Robertas Peceliūnas, Head of the Faculty of Transport, who also gave lectures to Logistics students as part of the Erasmus+ teaching staff mobility programme.

VILNIUS TECH delegation met with the authorities and lecturers of WSEI University. The talks were attended by: Prof. Marek Opielak, PhD, Eng., Rector of WSEI University , PhD Michalina Gryniewicz-Jaworska, Prof. of the WSEI University, Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Information Technology, and Darek Kasperek, MSc, Eng.

Representatives of both universities discussed directions for further development, opportunities for teaching and scientific cooperation, as well as initiatives related to the internationalisation of education and academic exchange.

The visit of the VILNIUS TECH delegation was also an opportunity to see the modern teaching infrastructure, laboratories and technological facilities used in the education process. The guests were also able to familiarise themselves with our University's research base and solutions supporting the development of students' practical skills.

- The visit of VILNIUS TECH representatives is an important step in building lasting international relations for our Faculty. We see great potential both in student exchanges and in the implementation of joint research projects that can benefit both universities - emphasises PhD Michalina Gryniewicz-Jaworska, Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Information Technology at WSEI University.
