WSEI University is creating a modern space for developing students’ practical skills, creativity and passion. We are talking about the Pyramid Games Computer Graphics and Game Development Laboratory, which will enable our students to gain experience in creating computer games with the support of industry experts.
Our University is modern and keeps up with the times. The opening of this laboratory is the next stage of a technological partnership aimed at supporting student development. Thanks to this, they can gain knowledge and experience in a space designed in accordance with the real needs of the computer games industry - emphasises Teresa Bogacka, dr h.c., President of the WSEI University.
Dr inż. Michalina Gryniewicz-Jaworska, prof. at the WSEI University, Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Coputer Science, adds: - The opening of the Pyramid Games Computer Graphics and Game Development Laboratory is a natural complement to the Computer Game Development, Graphics and Interactive Technologies programme launched this academic year. Our cooperation with Pyramid Games allows us to combine academic rigour with gamedev practice, creating conditions for the development of talent, creativity and competence that open the door to careers in the dynamically growing gaming sector. I am convinced that this Laboratory will become a place where projects and innovations will be created that Lublin will be proud of.
The ceremony will begin with a press briefing in room 118, followed by a symbolic ribbon cutting in front of the entrance to the Pyramid Games Laboratory in room 121 (first floor).
The event will be attended by the authorities of the WSEI University, the authorities of the City of Lublin, as well as the President of the Management Board of Pyramid Games.
The technological partnership between WSEI University and Pyramid Games encompasses a range of activities aimed at developing students' skills and improving the teaching process. This cooperation includes the organisation of internships and study visits, enabling students to gain experience in a real work environment. At the same time, consultations are held on the curriculum and its systematic updating to ensure that it remains in line with current industry needs and standards.
An important element of the partnership is also the substantive supervision of diploma theses and the delivery of lectures and workshops by experts from the gamedev sector, which promotes the transfer of knowledge and practical skills to the academic environment.
The new field of study, Computer Game Development, Graphics and Interactive Technologies, has been prepared in cooperation with Pyramid Games and PoligonStudio. Thanks to this, students have the opportunity to receive an education based on current knowledge, access to modern tools and the prospect of real professional development in the computer games sector.
We cordially invite all interested parties to participate in this event.
