Visit of Scientists from Turkey to WSEI University as Part of the Erasmus+ Programme

WSEI University in hosted representatives of its partner institution, Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University from Turkey. The visit took place on 18–20 November as part of the Erasmus+ programme

Dr Huseyin Dogan and Dr Ahmet Usanmaz conducted a series of lectures and workshops dedicated to contemporary social issues, social policy, and building resilient communities. The programme included, among others:

  • Introduction: the importance of sociology and social work in the contemporary world
  • Local communities in practice: social policy, social services, and case studies
  • Building resilient communities – an interactive workshop with a comparative perspective

During their stay at our University, the lecturers from Turkey also met with Dr hab. Tomasz Wołowiec, Professor at WSEI University and Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, as well as with Dr Sylwia Skrzypek-Ahmed, Professor at WSEI University and Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences.

Such visits are an important element of the University’s development – they strengthen international cooperation, enrich the educational offer, and enable the exchange of intercultural perspectives. They are also a unique opportunity for students to participate in classes taught by international academics and to broaden their horizons.
