Erasmus Week Has Begun! Join Us for Free Lectures!

We began the first day of Erasmus Week, taking place from May 26 to 30 at the WSEI University, with a focus on health and senior care.

On behalf of the university authorities, participants were welcomed by Prof. Marek Opielak, Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng., h.c., Rector of the WSEI University:

-This event highlights our University’s presence in the European educational space, - he noted. He went on to list the benefits of the Erasmus+ program, including opportunities for student and staff exchanges, professional internships, and the chance to explore the world.

Representing the Mayor of the City of Lublin, Deputy Mayor Anna Augustyniak spoke next: --The theme of today’s meeting is very close to my heart, as I am responsible for social affairs at City Hall. We must prepare the younger generation to bear the responsibility of supporting themselves and others so that our autumn years can be colorful. Through organizing numerous intergenerational workshops, we see the positive impact on seniors—it works better than medicine. That’s why I hope these lectures will inspire you to continue working for the good of all generations,- she emphasized.

The opening lecture titled Environmental Sensitivity and Quality of Life Related to Health” was delivered by Dr. Borja Costa López from the University of Alicante, Spain.

We warmly invite everyone to take part in the upcoming lectures, workshops, and discussion panels. The event will continue through May 30.
