Drop-out project: Free psychological support for students of WSEI University

Not sure how to deal with stress, adaptation difficulties and personal challenges? Take advantage of individual consultations and group workshops offered to students by WSEI University as part of its support programme to reduce drop-out rates.

Psychological and counselling support is one of the elements of the project Świadomy Wybór, Sukces na Studiach, Satbilna Przyszłość - Kompleksowy Program Wsparcia Studentów Lubelskiej Aksademii WSEI(‘Conscious Choice, Success at University, Stable Future – Comprehensive Support Programme for Students of WSEI University) implemented as part of the European Funds for Social Development programme. The aim of the project is to increase the efficiency of university management and provide support in the learning process in order to reduce the phenomenon of.

Support is available to all students of WSEI Univerisity, regardless of their year of study or field of study.

- As a university that has been operating in the education market for over 25 years, we know very well how important psychological support is and how it affects the well-being of students. Such support not only improves the quality of academic life, but also contributes to reducing the risk of dropping out of studies or interrupting education for various reasons, i.e. the phenomenon of drop-out. Our goal as a university is both to provide comprehensive education to students and to help them complete their studies and obtain a degree - emphasises Teresa Bogacka, Dr h.c., President of WSEI University.

As part of the support, students can count on:

 

  Individual consultations

  • Assistance in identifying and analysing life and academic problems
  • Developing strategies for coping with difficulties
  • Reducing stress related to studying and examinations

 

  Group workshops

  • Adaptation for first-year students
  • Development of academic skills: work planning, learning techniques
  • Stress management, learning relaxation techniques, building mental resilience

    Crisis intervention

  • Assistance in emergency life and family situations
  • Referral to specialist help if necessary
  • Tutoring and preventive measures

  Motivational support

  •   Information campaigns on the importance of mental health and available forms of support at the University.

Support is provided by experienced psychologists, practitioners and lecturers from WSEI University : PhD Grzegorz Kata and Judyta Bieniek, MA, from Akademickie Centrum Psychoprofilaktyki i Terapi  (Academic Centre for Psychoprophylaxis and Therapy.)
