Nearly 40 companies, institutions, public offices, foundations, uniformed services – and even one dog who works daily at the Lublin Remand Centre – along with hundreds of visitors and countless conversations about jobs, collaboration, and career opportunities. This is, in brief, what Career Day looked like, organized on December 3 by WSEI University in cooperation with the Lublin Municipal Labour Office.
- Events like this are invaluable. Students have the opportunity to meet directly with people who may later employ them, and employers can present both their job offers and their activities. It is an extremely meaningful experience that benefits everyone - emphasized Prof. Marek Opielak, Rector of WSEI University, while opening the event. - Our University has educated around 60,000 graduates, 97 percent of whom are employed. Our graduates do not spend long searching for work, and events like Career Day further support them in this process.
As Anna Augustyniak, Deputy Mayor of Lublin, highlighted, Career Day organized by WSEI University and the Municipal Labour Office has become a permanent part of the city’s event calendar: - I would like to thank all exhibitors for their enthusiasm in cooperating with the Municipal Labour Office, and the University for its openness and support for young people. As the City of Lublin, we are planning a number of events in 2026 dedicated to pupils and students who want to enter the labour market - so they don’t get lost in it. We want to help plan your careers. And today’s event is the inauguration of all these activities that we intend to carry out together with universities and the Municipal Labour Office.
Tomasz Pitucha, Director of the Voivodeship Labour Office in Lublin, encouraged students to work with career advisors who help plan professional paths, and with other office staff who can present, among other things, safe job opportunities abroad: - All the institutions and companies present here today give you, dear students, the chance to think about your future careers. So don’t hesitate - talk to the exhibitors and explore your options - he said.
Katarzyna Kępa, Director of the Municipal Labour Office in Lublin, addressed young participants, encouraging them to follow their strengths in life: - During Career Day, you have the chance to explore the labour market, discover workplaces that offer employment, and check whether you would see yourselves in a particular company, institution, or office. I hope that today marks the beginning of what we call your career - one that brings you joy, success, and professional development.
The auditorium of WSEI University was filled with crowds of visitors - students, graduates, and Lublin residents alike.
- This is a very important experience for us students because it gives us the opportunity to find internships and helps in searching for future employment - said Oleksandra Mamayeva, a third-year Logistics student participating in Career Day - Everyone interested could talk with company representatives and also receive various promotional gifts.
Exhibitors also expressed satisfaction with the event: - There is truly a wonderful atmosphere at this University - we are always happy to come back,- said staff from KRUS.
- As a graduate of this University, I can confirm that after studying at WSEI University, you don’t have to search long for a job. I found mine within two months - emphasized a representative from Stokrotka.
The event brought together companies from various industries, labour offices, education centres, recruitment agencies, the Lublin City Office, Lublin Provincial Police Headquarters, the Internal Security Agency (ABW), ZUS, KRUS, the National Labour Inspectorate, the Polish Post, the Nadbużański Border Guard Unit, the Military Recruitment Centre, the Tax Administration Chamber, PFRON, the Lublin Remand Centre, the Voivodeship Club of Technology and Rationalization, as well as numerous foundations and institutions.
- We rate the event very highly - it was truly professionally organized. Many interested visitors came, and we were able to present our offer and opportunities for work abroad. We are very satisfied. Thank you for the opportunity to participate - summarized Victoria Rudenko from Easy Travel Abroad Sp. z o.o.
