Anna Ślifirczyk PhD in Medical Sciences, Professor at WSEI University gained her professional experience during her first seven years of work at the Provincial Specialist Hospital in Biała Podlaska. She has developed her teaching skills over more than thirty years of academic activity, teaching courses in Paramedical Studies and Nursing.
From 2011 to 2022, she served as Chair of the Education Committee at the Regional Chamber of Nurses and Midwives in Biała Podlaska and as Vice-Chair of the Regional Court of Nurses and Midwives in the same city. Between 2010 and 2020, she collaborated with the Centre for the Education of Nurses and Midwives in Warsaw, where she served as Chair of the State Examination Board in Emergency Nursing.
She is a member of the Polish Hygiene Society and the Polish Resuscitation Council. She actively participates in postgraduate education for nurses and midwives, teaching specialist, qualification and advanced training courses.
In 2019, she was awarded the Medal of the National Education Commission.
PhD Ślifirczyk obtained her PhD in Medical Sciences in 2012, defending her dissertation entitled “The Quality of Life of Families of Children with Autism and Parental Burnout Syndrome” in the field of social medicine. In 2016, she earned the title of Specialist in Emergency Nursing. Since 2001, she has also been a certified trainer in health assessment and physical examination.
Her scientific and research interests focus on emergency nursing and intensive care, multicultural issues in medicine, thanatology education, and interpersonal communication in healthcare. She was a recipient of research scholarships awarded in 2018 and 2021 in competitions for academic staff of the State Higher School.

She is the author of 128 scientific publications in domestic and international peer-reviewed journals. She has served as an assistant supervisor for two doctoral theses. Prof. Ślifirczyk is actively involved in the scientific community as a member of scientific and organisational committees of conferences and as a reviewer for the journals Rozprawy Społeczne and Health Problems of Civilisation.
PhD Anna Ślifirczyk has extensive teaching experience at all levels of education – from undergraduate and master’s programmes, through postgraduate studies, to specialist, qualification and advanced professional courses. She currently serves as the Dean for the Warsaw Branch of WSEI University.
She collaborates with the Centre for Postgraduate Education of Nurses and Midwives in Warsaw, where she serves as Chair of the State Examination Board in Emergency Nursing. Within the professional self-government structure, she has served as Chair of the Education Committee and Deputy Chair of the Regional Court of Nurses and Midwives in Biała Podlaska.
As a lecturer, she conducts classes within postgraduate programmes qualifying graduates to conduct vocational training, and actively participates in educational initiatives such as “Vocational Education of Nurses and Midwives within Bridging Studies”, where she acts as Supervisor of the Pilot Vocational Practice in the Ambulance Service. She is also a certified trainer in physical examination and collaborates with the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.
In her teaching activity, she delivers courses in emergency nursing, physical examination, multicultural issues in medicine, thanatology education, and evidence-based nursing (EBN).
