Supporting teachers in their professional development, building resilience and professional wellbeing, and improving the quality of education are the main objectives of the Teachers’ HAVEN project. Our University is a project partner, while the OIC Poland Foundation of WSEI University is the main coordinator.
Teachers’ HAVEN is a Teacher Wellbeing Academy – the only international project of its kind coordinated in Poland. It was created in response to the need to support teachers in their professional development and psychological wellbeing, as well as to improve the quality of education through innovative training programmes and the exchange of best practices.
Teachers’ HAVEN is an initiative that brings together education professionals, good practices and modern approaches to teaching. It provides a space for real support, inspiration and professional development.
The project is aimed at both future teachers and practicing teachers, as well as institutions involved in teacher education and other organisations operating in the field of education.
Education is changing dynamically, which is why teachers – exposed to stress and professional burnout – need not only new tools, but above all opportunities to exchange experiences, collaborate and develop their competences. This is precisely what Teachers’ HAVEN is designed to support.
The project will include, among other things:
The project is being implemented by an international consortium of partners from Poland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Cyprus and Romania, representing higher education institutions, non-governmental organisations and educational institutions.
The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Teacher Academies programme, which supports the creation of European partnerships between teacher education institutions and the development of innovative forms of teachers’ professional development.
The project will run until 31 March 2028.
