Drop-out project: Free career counselling support for students of WSEI University

Not sure how to plan your educational and professional future? Having trouble writing your CV or feeling stressed about a job interview? Take advantage of the free career counselling services offered by our University.

The support of a career advisor is part of the project „Świadomy Wybór, Sukces na Studiach, Stabilna Przyszłość – Kompleksowy Program Wsparcia Studentów Lubelskiej Akademii WSEI”('Conscious Choice, Success at University, Stable Future – Comprehensive Support Programme for Students of WSEI University’) The project is implemented as part of the European Funds for Social Development programme. Its aim is to increase the efficiency of university management and provide support in the learning process in order to reduce the drop-out rate.

- The career counselling programme supports students in planning their educational and professional future and in combining their studies with work. The assistance offered includes choosing a career path, preparing to enter the labour market, and support in dealing with financial and professional challenges. As a university, we know that the challenges facing students can overwhelm them and even discourage them from continuing their education, which is why we want to help them, emphasises Teresa Bogacka, Dr h.c., President of WSEI University.

Support is available to all students of WSEI University, regardless of their year of study or field of study.

As part of the support, students can count on:

  • individual consultations with a career advisor
  • assessment of professional aptitudes and competences
  • workshops on preparing CVs, cover letters and portfolios
  • workshops on preparing for job interviews
  • support in finding internships and flexible forms of employment
  • advice on budget management and financial planning
  • workshops on communication, negotiation and teamwork
  • workshops on simulating interviews with employers
  • creation of professional profiles
  • preparation for an informed entry into the labour market

Such support is a real help – it increases self-confidence, facilitates career decisions and reduces the risk of dropping out of university.
