WSEI University hosts an international training visit within the SUSTED project

An international training visit dedicated to sharing best practices in sustainable development is currently taking place at WSEI University. The event is organized as part of the SUSTED project.

SUSTED stands for Education for Sustainable Development. Synergy of Competences for the Recovery of Ukraine.”

The meeting brings together representatives of partner universities from Ukraine: Polissia National University, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, Podillia State University, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, and West Ukrainian National University.

- The overall goal of the project is to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions to promote sustainable development in the process of post-war recovery of Ukraine by developing competences in the field of sustainable management and leadership - explains Dr. Sc., Prof. Nataliia Kutsmus, project manager.

During the five-day visit (20–24 October), participants are taking part in a series of trainings and workshops conducted by experts from WSEI University. The sessions cover topics such as implementing the concept of sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), modern teaching methods, monitoring of pro-environmental activities, and designing study programmes supporting the implementation of SDGs.

One of the highlights of the programme is a study visit to “Pszczółka” Candy Factory in Lublin – one of the largest confectionery producers in Poland. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the production process and explore innovative sustainability solutions implemented in the company.

The programme also includes discussions on future academic cooperation and the planning of further joint initiatives. During the event, cooperation agreements between partner universities will be signed
